Samba Drumming Workshops
Up to 20 participants (Age 16+)
Our Samba drumming workshops allow you to immerse yourself in the vibrant traditional rhythms of Brazil, inclusive of personal compositions and genres of music from Jamaica and the Carribean! These classes are perfect for all skill levels, in a fun and engaging environment where you can learn the art and skills involved. Our Musical Director will guide you through traditional techniques while creating a sense of community among participants. Get ready to unleash your creativity and enjoy the infectious rhythm of Samba drumming!
African Drumming Workshops
Up to 20 participants (Age 16+) ​
African drumming workshops offer a vibrant and immersive experience into the rich musical traditions of Africa. Participants will learn about various drumming techniques, rhythms, and cultural significance while playing traditional instruments like Djembe, Dunduns, Shekeres and Agogo bells as well as singing and chants. These workshops are suitable for all skill levels, fostering a sense of community and collaboration as attendees create traditional African music together.
Both workshops are available for high schools, community, corporate and charity organisations. Workshops can last from 60 to 90 minutes, for up to 20 people, with the help of 2 to 4 Bassonovas. This encourages social team building, is great fun and very therapeutic! Absolutely no experience needed and we also supply all instruments. Sessions are simple and easy to follow! After a short time, participants will be playing an orchestra of funky, traditional rhythms and beats!

If required, the Bassonovas subcontract Samba dancers at an additional cost. This adds extra spice and pizzazz to the show!
